Music Makes Me Happy!

We always go to church early and I go around and shake hands and visit with everyone.  Today, I noticed one of the organists, Sister Biggs, was holding choir practice.  There were only about 8 people there and 3 were her own family.  She was trying to lead and play their parts on the piano.  I offered to help.  She was very thankful!  They are learning Handel's Messiah--very ambitious.  It was easy enough to just play one part at a time.  After choir practice, Sister Biggs asked me if I could lead the music for Sacrament Meeting.  I responded I'd love to.

The music stand was super low and so I asked Tim if his tools were in the van.  He quickly went out to the van for pliers and we were able to raise the stand to a much better height!  I enjoyed leading the music and could really feel the Spirit.

Brother Dan Hanara asked us if we could speak before we finished our mission and I accepted.  He'll get back to us.  We only have 7 more Sundays to go!

This week was really hectic with transfers, arrivals and departures.  For some reason, I didn't realize that transfers were first now and I had to check on bags for the missionaries coming south and going north.  I've been busy scanning leases into the church's system, I.M.O.S.  It was going very slowly until Tim started helping me and now we are finished.  I had to scan the 1st lease and the most recent lease for 100 flats!  Thank goodness that's over with.

Had a really good endowment session at the temple Saturday.  We try to go every other week.  I struggle to be alert because of my stamina issues.  I took all of my medications, ate well and prayed to be alert.  Also, I've started sitting on the aisle because I've realized that I fidget a lot when I'm boxed in and I get claustrophobic! Success!

Well, we're up to our ears emptying and filling up flats.  Tim has been super diligent in finding replacement flats for the 6 that we are losing.  Our financial secretary, Sister Calderwood, is more comfortable with her job now that she's been here 6 months.  We need her a lot for all of the leases, refunds, bonds, etc.

We're actually saying, "We won't be here for that" now when new schedules are being made.  Kind of exciting.  Love you and thank you for being on this journey with us.  Hugs and kisses.
