Heavy Week

Needless to say our week was very heavy with the passing of Tim's mother.  He tried to catch things up so he could fly out to New Mexico for the funeral.  I won't be going with him because my strength and stamina are very low and it would take me too long to recover after we got back. I put him on the plane here in Brisbane on Thursday night and he arrived there on Thursday morning!  He got younger!  All of our children are headed to Albuquerque to attend the funeral in Ramah, NM.

Our Area President, Elder Peter Meurs, toured the mission this week so there were lots of meetings.  The first half of the tour was here in Brisbane and then they all flew to Cairns for the northern part of the tour.  We met with Elder Meurs at Karawatha Chapel down south of Brisbane.  It is surrounded by forest so there are always lots of kangaroos running around.  Two of them had joeys!

On the way to Karawatha there is this unique bridge for animals.  When I first saw it I thought, "There are trees on that bridge!"

They also have these flexible ladders across the streets so wildlife can cross without getting hit by a car.  I wish we could see a koala or possum climbing across one of these!

Well, we are just waiting for the funeral now.  It will be on Monday, June 10, 2024.  Tim is giving the eulogy and Laura is giving the doctrinal talk.  Praying for them.  Love you all.

P.S.  Still not in the office but started moving Friday, June 7th.
