Another Day, Another Blessing
You know the old saying, "Another day, another dollar"? I like to say, "Another day, another blessing". We have truly been blessing while we have been here. Things have settled down a little so that we can actually breathe.
Tim and I were in charge of Family Home Evening for the seniors last Monday and we decided we needed to have some fun. The seniors were looking pretty tired and worn out at Senior Council the week before! We decided to play a game about The Book of Mormon since that's what we're studying this year. We found a BofM version of the game Taboo online. Each team picks a clue giver and that person draws a card. Each card has a word at the top that you have to get your team to guess. The stipulation is that you can't use the 5 five words listed under the clue--that makes it a lot harder!
More travelling this week but we were able to slow down a little. Tim still travels twice as much as I do! This week is the last week of the transfer so we're gearing up for 13 new missionaries January 29th.
I asked the office elders if I could sit at their station on days that they were gone and they said of course. That is BIG for me because I'm no longer relegated to my 19 inches of desk space. I feel squished there and have to go to the conference room when I need more space. Yay!
We got the senior sisters moved from Buxton Street to Pring Street. That's pretty huge! Now we justhave to get the Buxton flat ready by February 14 for the new mental health advisor and his wife. Changes, changes, changes. When I got here they told me to get used to "pivoting"--I've pivoted so much I'm dizzy!
Tim and I took a little trip Saturday to Montville which is about an hour and a half north of here. A friend told us about the shops there and I was looking for banksia seed pod items. We found some and had a nice day. They look like this and then they turn them on a lathe and make pretty things. Very Australian.
