Possum, Sisters and Temple
Got to work Monday morning and found this little possum joey sleeping in our doorway! He was curled up into a 6" ball and sleeping soundly. I got on the internet to see who to call when you find a wild animal and the RSPCA were the people to call. They came about 2 hours later and wrapped him in a towel. I don't know how he got separated from his mommy but he was all alone and frightened, I'm sure. They have grey ones and red ones here. We ran into an adult red possum down in our parking garage and it was about 2 feet long! If you zoom in you can see his little fingers! It was all very exciting.
Tim and I had to split up this week because he had to travel 4 out of 5 days this week! I can't handle all that travelling--it zaps all my energy. I only went with him one day to take some sisters some furniture. They were in Gatton about 1-1/2 hours southwest of Brisbane. Tim put together a kitchen table, 2 bookcases, two dressers and 2 nightstands while the sisters and I put 6 chairs together! The tree outside their flat had the biggest bottle-brush blooms I'd ever seen! Gorgeous!
We are so blessed to have a temple in Brisbane! I love going there and wish we could go every week but I can only go on Saturdays because I'm so tired after work. Saturdays are our P-day but sometimes we have to travel or work and don't get a day off. Those weeks are hard.
Tim and I represented the Navajo Nation this week with my jewelry and his tie. It was fun explaining where we were from.
Lastly, I was asked to help with a missionary lesson in Spanish on Friday. I printed up the lessons in Spanish a few months ago and now there's a new Preach My Gospel! I'm putting the new lessons in my notebook. The lesson was 1-1/2 hours away in Surfer's Paradise and they didn't ask me until that same morning! There was no way I could travel that far for a lesson so I suggested doing it on Zoom. It was awesome and whenever the young woman didn't understand she'd look at me and I'd interpret for her. It's the third time I've assisted on a visit and I really enjoy it. I thought my Spanish would come in handy sometime on my mission!
Doing much better and having more energy! Thank you all for your prayers--we love you! Happy Birthday to our dear President Nelson!!!
You guys rock!
