Brisbane Festival and Senior Missionary Conference

Brisbane throws a 21-day festival every year to promote the arts! It kicks off with a flyover show by the Royal Air Force, then fire works, then a drone show!  Spectacular!  I wanted to go in person until I read they were expecting 500,000 people along the route of the river!  We watched it on the internet and had front-row seats instead!

We also had a Senior Missionary Conference for 3 days!  All the northern couples flew down and stayed with the southern couples!  We had the Webers from Mackay and enjoyed getting to know them better!  We picked them up at the airport when they started their mission and spent time with them then.

It was so enjoyable to see all the other senior missionaries.  The first conference they had happened the week after we flew in from the United States and we didn't know anybody and were still in shock!

Here we are after a wonderful dinner that the Munros threw for us.  I had roasted lamb for the first time!  It tasted like...not chicken, but roast beef!  The other main dish was chicken which had been cooked in gravy which I can't have because of my gluten sensitivity.  The dessert table was divine and took up the entire island in the kitchen!

My health is improving due to some changes I've made including a shorter work day and a vitamin supplement to help with my stamina!  Love to all !
