All's Well That Ends Well
Update on my health: I've had the usual challenges with migraines, asthma and diverticulitis here in Australia. Just spent 5 days in bed and taking it easy from a bout of diverticulitis: my 3rd since we came to Australia. It's a a combination of stress and diet both of which I'm getting a tighter grip on. Got home from Cairns Tuesday evening and got sick in the middle of the night. Antibiotics helped it resolve quickly and pretty much painlessly. All's well that ends well, right? Notwithstanding all my health setbacks, I'm still giving it my best. I've also cut back my hours at "work" so that I'm not exhausted all the time.
Not a lot to report this week since I was in bed most of the time. Saturday and Sunday were Stake Conference and we actually had to rent a room in the Brisbane Convention Center to hold all of us. There weren't very many people there but we did fill up the room. We had never driven to South Bank before so that was a new experience. We've been there many times but have ridden the train or the City Cat boat.
We have a Senior Missionary Conference this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. All the northern seniors in the mission come to Brisbane and stay with the southern seniors so we'll have the Webers staying with us--they are from Idaho. We had only been in Australia a week when they held the last one and were a bit overwhelmed so I'm looking forward to this one!
Hope everyone is doing well and is happy. We love Australia and the people. Our jobs are a little harder to love but we're trying our best. Love you all!
