Mother's Day

Being a day ahead of the States makes holidays complicated.  My kids actually remembered to call on their Saturday to wish me Mother's Day on my Sunday in Australia! 
Tim bought me some beautiful lilac-colored roses for Mother's Day and I made a corsage out of one of them.  Mother's Day is the same day here in Australia but Father's Day is the first Sunday in September.  Guess Tim's gonna get two Father's Days.  We saw an Outback Steakhouse here and were excited to try it.  We went the Saturday before Mother's Day.  Apparently there are only a few in Australia and they consider it an "American" restaurant!  The steak was really good and we enjoyed just going out and being us.
