Preparing to Fly Solo
Our mentors, the Grangers, from Adelaide
Our mentors were gone the second half of this week which means we got a taste of what it's going to be like when they go home April 6th! We learn a little more each day and are getting accustomed to Aussie life. :D We're getting things set up in our apartment and at the office so we're feeling a little more comfortable. We're still getting up about 5:30 am and I'm going to sleep early because I'm so tired when I get home. I take a nap when we come home for lunch and another one after work just to keep up. :D Elder Bond is doing really well and he is learning how to work with real estate agents and tenants. I feel more at home being in charge of all the paper work. Since we are in charge of Housing, we are responsible for finding and furnishing apartments for our missionaries and senior couples. We are getting 19 new missionaries in April and 10 are going home! We live on 6 week cycles in the mission or as the mission and missionaries call them, transfers. There are lots of meetings in the mission. District, Zone, Office, Mission-wide, Mission Leadership--wow. We haven't been able to go to the temple yet but have reservations for this Saturday, April 1st. General Conference won't start technically until April 2nd here since we are a day ahead of the U.S. It will be interesting to catch up on the talks since we'll be sleeping when they are given. They announced in church today that they would be watching the talks on a Saturday and Sunday in the middle of the month of April but I'm hoping to have already watched them by then. Love to all💖!
