Garden Apartments

 

We moved in to the Garden Apartments on Tuesday, February 28, 2022.  The weather had been so bad and winter advisories so frequent that we didn't want to commute every day to Salt Lake.  The Lynches met us there and took us to our apartment.  It was very nice and had been renovated:  One bedroom, one bath, large walk-in closet, storage closets in the hall, kitchen, dining and living area.  Perfect!  It came furnished so we settled in quickly and unpacked our suitcases.  We met other visa waiters, some who had been waiting 3 months already.  We were prepared to wait as long as it took and I kept saying, "We're blooming where we're planted!" 

We were scheduled to meet with President Faerber and his companion for our new mission assignment on Thursday, March 9th.  On Wednesday, we got a call telling us our visas were in!!!  We were so shocked!  We had only been in the Utah Salt Lake City Headquarters Mission for 5 days!  We texted President Holmes (Utah) and President Vongsawad (Australia) and started re-packing everything!  We went home that night, returned to clean and check out on Wednesday!  Hallelujah!!!
